  • New Lizards Song: Way Back (Mr. Peabody)

If you like the 80's, and especially people trying to pretend like it's still the 80's... well, you might like this.

It's a rare foray into power pop for the Lizards, words by Sir Pent, music by Gecko.  Enjoy.  Free for download as always.

  • Kung Fu Lover

Another new track, free again for streaming and download.  If you're one of the four or five people who have been paying attention (or a part of our growing Eastern European cult following), you've probably already got this one, but we've finally sort of come to agreement on a mix, which kind of took a long time and several attempts.

Words by Serpent, music by Gecko, producing by me.  Please tell me I succeeded in making the snare sound like some Whitesnake or maybe Warrant, because I was totally going for that.

  • Powder Keg

Just put up the latest song we've finished, Powder Keg (words by Serpent, music by Gecko).  Shortest one yet, but I think it's just right.

This song was being completed at the same time as Gecko and G. Baszali were arguing on our blog about whether or not punk was, in fact, dead.

This song doesn't answer that question, but it's a pretty reasonable facsimile of punk, if it is in fact extinct.  Join the argument at lizardsfromafar.com, if you've got an opinion.  Thanks for listening, as always, this one's free for streaming or download, no strings attached.  What could be more punk than that?

  • Four H And Fourteen

We've got a brand new song up for streaming or free download, it's called "Four H And Fourteen".  This one features a lyric by none other than Gator himself, written just for the reformed group, marking the first collaboration between all four members of the band circa '92 (so everyone from the inception except Gila Monster).  Not that it sounds like anything off "Kick The Habit" mind you.  I think it's Springsteen meets early REM, which is shocking since I wasn't the one that wrote it.  What do YOU think of it?  If you're mean, Sir Pent will cry, just remember that.

  • Stay With Me re-recorded!

Hey everyone, thanks for signing up with us here.  I've uploaded a new version of Stay With Me, the first track of our old 1991 tape "How Old Is Your Sister".  Remember that?  We've made a couple of minor changes, but it's basically the song you remember from the old days, just recorded a bit better, and of course, not on a cassette.

If you were a fan back then in the Wesleyan days, enjoy this one.  And if you know anyone on facebook who was around back in the day, this would make a pretty good dedication, too.

    Thanks for listening!
