BMI Sack Female For Refusing to Walk Behind the Men
SHAME SHAME SHAME ON BMI
British Union Amicus/Unite don't and won't Support her Case
SHAME SHAME SHAME on Amicus
So Miss Ashton gets ZERO support for her plight from the company bmi, the union Unite/Amicus, and the court, not knowing all the facts, gets it wrong. When we publish the rulings some comment you will find hard to swallow.
This is not the first time that BMI and the Unions attitude should be held in contempt More to come A LOT MORE TO COME
.. but first things first.
With only the support of her partner they fought the whole matter alone, the Union refused direct legal assistance or even to allow her to talk with a legal representative directly. So you know, the Union is Amicus/Unite got that... Amicus/Unite ...
She lost the case...maybe BMI thought, little person, no voice, we win
WRONG WRONG WRONG HUDGE VOICE
For all those who haves sent messages of support either directly or voiced it on forums a massive thank you from Lisa " You have no idea how your comments have lifted me to a place I was starting to think I would never see, reading you kind words and support make us KNOW we were right. A personnel thank you to the gentleman in court who came up to us after the case and said "I'm not a judge but what bmi are doing is a disgrace you should feel proud for standing firm" Again. you will have no idea what those words meant at that time"
Lisa is also very pleased about the support from the Middle East who totally understand her stance. She is saying loud and clear THIS IS A BROADSIDE AGAINST THE POLICY OF BMI a misguided British company, and the Union Amicus/Unite, who should feel ashamed of themselves. It is nothing more than that.
It is NOT the law in Saudi to wear the Abaya and its NOT the law in Saudi for females to walk behind the men
.
Looks like the court were wrong, they made assumptions that they should not have made. Despite Lisa bringing up Human Rights in the initial submission to the court there was no reference to it in court. Maybe the judge did not think it fitted his view so did not allow it.
We suggest EVERYBODY looks at Article 9 of the Human rights act, says very clear this was a breach of Lisa's Human Rights.....so where from here.
Well, a phone call to Liberty results in " you have a case to take this to a judicial review"
How telling in today's British Society the only way people got to hear about it was by the support of Musicians, yes you heard right Musicians.
As some of the press reports say Lisa is a singer songwriter Last year she was nominated finalist in the new "Song Writers of the Year" By BBC Radio 2/Ivor Novello awards. With the band McKinney and the track Everyday
Through this success she became involved with various other musicians who, to a person supported her stance. The result was they said they would appear and perform with Lisa (performing as Marc Ash) for free and donate any performance fees to support her cause of taking the case to judicial review......REAL PEOPLE POWER. These include ex Factory Records performers (Home to New Order / Happy Mondays)
We now need your help, we need you to tell your friends, we need you to post comment any and everywhere you can about what BMI have done. Keep this story alive
Download the track, Play it your friends, tell them exactly what LISA ASHTON is standing for....MAKE IT COUNT....SHAME SHAME SHAME BMI and the UNION
ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO FIGHT AND KEEP THIS ISSUE ALIVE UNTIL BMI CHANGE THEIR POLICY
Thank you for you help it REALLY DOES make a difference
