Los Bunkers hit the U.S. scene last year with their critically-acclaimed North American debut "Vida de Perros" (Nacional Records). Thanks to the initial support of Mexico’s largest rock radio station Reactor, Los Bunkers have been to Mexico at least five times in just the last year and have been invited to play before tens of thousands of fans at Vive Latino, Latin America’s answer to Coachella, two years in a row. The Bunkers fever has also crossed the border to the U.S. with all of their singles having made the top ten of the R&R chart and their videos for “Llueve sobre la ciudad”, “Ven aquí” and “Ahora que no estás” in high rotation on networks like MTV Tr3s, LATV and mun2. Los Bunkers were also nominated for Univision’s Premios Lo Nuestro for Best Rock Album alongside established artists like Mana, Babasonicos and Alejandra Guzman. Comprised of two sets of brothers and another friend, Los Bunkers is Gonzalo Lopez (bass), Mauricio Duran (guitar and vocals), Alvaro Lopez (vocals and acoustic guitar), Mauricio Basualto (drums) and Francisco Duran (guitars, keyboards, harmonica and vocals). Los Bunkers formed in 1999 in the city of Concepcion, Chile with influences including The Beatles, Sloan and Supergrass. They eventually migrated to Santiago and released three albums, “Los Bunkers” (2001), “Cancion de Lejos” (2002) and “La Culpa” (2003) before signing to Nacional Records for their first U.S. release, “Vida de Perros”.
