... More...Firstly, and most importantly, thanks and merry Christmas to all our fans and supporters who have made 2007 the best year yet for Los Salvadores.
So many people have travelled with us, danced, learnt the words, shouted stuff, vomited all over the bus, sung on our album, put us up and invited us to their parties and generally made the last few months some of the most memorable I can... er... remember.
2007 has definitely been the most interesting year so far for Los Salvadores, and as we head towards 2008, things are looking to get better still, and we hope you are all coming along for the ride.
Since signing to Corndog Records in spring, we've recorded our first full-length album, Attack of the Clones, and the reception has already been better than we could have hoped. We've had half a dozen pre-release reviews so far, and we decided beforehand that we'd post up the bad ones too... but so far so good!
You can read what several nice people have said about AotC at: http://www.lossalvadores.co.uk/press.php
There's one which deserves a special mention, written by Sexy Dave from Pure Rawk zine - http://www.purerawk.co.uk/
We would like to buy him a pint. There will be more reviews coming in next year once that album as launched properly. They will be up on our website as they come in: http://www.lossalvadores.co.uk/
The industry release for the album - when it will hopefully be available through large outlets like Amazon, itunes etcetera - is February 4. Corndog have secured a distro deal with Code 7 who are negotiating where it will be sold. We'll let you know as soon as possible.
Another exciting development that will have a big impact on the band next year is working with PR and booking company 10xBetter.
They are organising our first nationwide tour, and exploring a variety of other exciting possibilities for 2008 which we'll keep you posted about!
We have also started to get our first radio play off the back of AotC, and thanks to all the DJs who have put us on so far.
Plus we've had our first festival booking, thanks to the guys organising the amazing MyFest - http://www.myfest.co.uk/
Check their website for details of what should be a highlight of next year's festival calendar; a properly priced (£49!) three-day festival showcasing awesome bands from across the country, as opposed to the rip-off commercial scene-fests so many events have become. Tickets are on sale now.
Now AotC is out there, we are already concentrating on writing new stuff... in fact the last few months have been some of the most productive ever in terms of new songs, and if you've been to any of the last few Los gigs of 2007, you might have heard a few of them.
We have loads more in the pipeline, and as usual we're taking our sound in strange new directions... come along and see what you think next year.
In the meantime, have a great Christmas and New Year, and we'll see you in 2008.
Laters,
Los Salvadores.
