The first week of tour had three shows (NYC, Burlington, and Boston) sell out before the doors even opened! Troy had our biggest audience there yet of nearly 500 people. We played through the entire new album Hammerstrike in the first set of NYC. The new songs came off well live. After several more performances I think they will tighten up as we get more relaxed playing them.

This Monday the real meat of the tour gets under way starting in the Midwest. We are taking out a Tour Bus for first time and are all pretty excited about pimping it on the rolling apartment. Hopefully the extra restfulness and space we'll have can translate into even better shows through out this huge run. We are also being joined by a new crew member better known as Padge who will be helping out with all sorts of stuff including monitors, merchandise, load-in/tear-down, etc. We are going to try and convince him to write a little blog as well to convey some of the impressions of someone's first time on tour on the "other side of the stage."

  • 9/5/08 Harvestfest Setlist

We showed up to Harmony Park, a beautiful wooded camp ground next to a lake about 90 miles south of Minneapolis, to people bundled up because of brisk weather and rain. There were a bunch of Hippie Types mostly from Minneapolis and the surrounding areas their for the festivities.

Particle was playing the stage before us. Their bassist had been in a car accident the day before and couldn't play while his arm recovered. So Jesse did them a solid and sat in the the entire 90 minute set.

The Motet Trio played the side stage while we got ready to go for the headlining slot. We played for 2 hours from 11:00-1:00 to a very enthusiastic crowd of around 3000-4000 folks.
