Aug 07, 01:56 PMLow Level Flight recording new album with Gus Van GoIt's been in the works for a while now - Low Level Flight are currently in the studio recording their sophomore album with renowned producer Gus Van Go (The Stills, The Trews, Priestess).
The band spent the first half of 2009 writing about 20 songs before beginning work with Gus in July. Some "early versions" of those songs were previewed at shows throughout the year, while others have remained in the vault. Which songs will make it on the album, and even what the album will sound like has yet to reveal itself, but the band know the final result will pleasantly surprise a lot of people.
The rest of the summer will be spent working on the album, before preparing for the release on the band's own label, I Heart Records.

Low Level Flight's new single, Turnaround, is a song that illustrates the pain that can be felt by helpless family members, and the influence it can have on a younger sibling when a teen turns to substance or alcohol abuse.
With the release of the single, the band has partnered with Kids Help Phone by tagging their video with the Kids Help Phone logo and phone number, and by offering their portion of the proceeds from iTunes downloads of the video to support Kids Help Phone.
