  My ex introduced me to this band and I was hooked instantly. Wish I could have seen them live, but glad to find out there is a DVD. I'll be looking for that in about 5 seconds just after I add this period.

  My word, not only did my suggestion of I Want Some make the "ones we forgot about" in the Guardian 1000 Albums to Hear Before You Die, but Mercury winning pseuds Klaxons have cited the Make Up as a primary influence on their sophmore LP (along with Sly & the Family Stone). & then I read in yesterday's Independent that I Want Some is the soundtrack to Jude Law's sister's life (she's an artist).

  A great band that I discovered after the fact due to Save Yourself/I Want Some. Every record is a killer and the Blue is Beautiful DVD is great stuff too. All from one track on a Dischord sampler I had the pleasure of discovering them. My fave songs are Blue is Beautiful, Don't Mind the Mind, Hey Joe, They Live By Night & We Can't Be Contained.
