The MentallyTransmittedDisease are a beat-driven metal electronica outfit from saaf london, established in '99 when there was still hope in the UK music industry. please tell us exactly what we're doing. we don't fit into any of the categories here :( Tired with the infrequent appearance of metal remixes and dismayed at the disjointed and girlish way that rock/rap metal/elektrik hybrids mostly turned out, Strangelet (vocals, songwriting, production, guitars, etc) decided to rectify all that and came out with some seeerious computer nastiness backed up by rusty guitars and rustier vocals. backed up live by fellow audio warriors Deadlock (v-kit, vocals,etc) and SweetLeaf (g-tars, stunt audio, decks), the MTD turned up to 11 and in a mean mood are a sight to behold - strangelet himself being described by somebody or other as Dick Van Dyke meets Trent Reznor. Influences include NIN, Prodigy,Jurassic 5, Reef, Jimi, DreamTheater, HedPE, Limp BizKit (don't cuss...), Rage, Queen, perfect Circle... chow down on some crunchy chopped beats in a rusty distortion marinade with a sideorder of actual musicality and a garnish of dirty rotten g-tar riffs.
