Youthful, fresh, clean cut, hot and got sizzle, are just a few words that we used to describe this new hip hop trio- MVP. These 3 youngsters, Mista Bo (18), T-Mac (19), and Black Da Business (20) were all 3 born in Los Angeles, California and raised in the Valley. These childhood friends have much to offer our young people today. They endorse getting an education and graduating from high school-which is a huge epidemic in our country, as well as living a drug free lifestyle. “Just because we grew up in the valley doesn't mean life wasn't incredibly difficult, and staying out of trouble for me wasn't an option” says Black who was raised by his grandmother. Mista Bo adds “I grew up in one of the worst neighborhoods “Pacoima” and if it wasn't for local sports programs and a strong single mother, I'm sure I would have been in a gang. MVP as individuals are serious and passionate about what they believe and they believe that young adults need to wake up and realize what they do today will affect them for the rest of their lives, “Make better decisions for your self even if know one else will, sometimes all you got is you!” Say's T-Mac” passionately.
Black, T-Mac and Mista Bo are natural performers. They individually bring something unique that makes each MVP member valuable. “T-Mac,” The party man! Eclectic and diverse. No room is quiet and no party is dull when T-Mac shows up. “Mista Bo,” Brings the energy. He's clean cut, athletic and loves to perform. And Yep a ladies man! “Black Da Business” Is the lyric spitter, built like a quarter back, he loans a more edgy vibe and seriousness to the fold-that is until Mista Bo & T-Mac stirs him up.
They have successfully managed to capture the attention of a multi cultural audience ranging from middle school children to adults. And are instantaneously embraces by teenage girls and young women.
“It’s The Most Valuable” the debut CD starts off with songs that are current, trendy, even a little brand boasting. “When you get past the industry club joints and current trendy songs that seem to be required in today’s industry, you’ll see what these guys are really made of” Say’s Bigg Swoop” who produced most of the album and overseen the entire project. The music enclosed in their debut CD entitled “It’s The Most Valuable” range from simple to serious. Light-hearted songs like Tag- You It, Soda Pop and Fly As Us (produced by multi-platinum producer Mannie Fresh) to issues that effect our youth, like “Angel” (dealing with young girls and self-esteem) and “Imagine” (which talks about drunk driving).
MVP’s debut CD effectively covers all the necessary grounds and will be a teen pleaser.
MVP will release their debut CD 1/27/09 Through Eyecon Music Group/ Fontana/ Universal Music Group Dist.
