Formed summer 2002, MWK had been the longtime dream of guitarist/songwriter Neal Tiemann. It wasn't until that summer 2002 when Neal found the right musicians to fully realize his dream. At the time of conception, the band was still in high school and college. The members are: Andy Skib (lead vox, guitar, 17), the quiet yet commanding frontman, whom the crowd turns to a screaming mass when he opens his mouth. Neal Tiemann (guitar, backup vox, 19), a guitarist like none other, he pulls influences from Zakk Wylde to Bjork and his show stopping solos are a staple of MWk shows. Justin Briggs( bass, backup vox, 20), is the energy behind MWK, constantly pushing the intensity of MWK shows to explosive potential and Robby Merrick (drums, 21) more than just the timekeeper, Robby's performance on drums is one to remember. From the commanding presence yet soft spokenness of their front man Andy Skib, to the punk-like energy of Neal and Justin, to the skin beating fury of Robby, their live show is something to see. After a year of about 100 live shows in three states, the guys, now a year older and much the wiser, are branching out. With a debut independant release and tours planned for fall and spring... get ready for MWK.
