Paul Draper will be sending out his infamous blog for the 10th anniversary of the classic Mansun album 'Six" on September 7th. If you wish to receive the blog which will detail the writing, recording and touring of the record as well as finally revealing what the album is about and what the artwork means, then add yourself to the official mailing list at http://www.pauldraper.info/list.php
In addition, Paul will also be doing a special live forum chat at 6pm BST on Sunday 7th September where you will be able to ask him about all aspects of the Six album. Mansun broke the boundaries and pushed even further. They MUST REFORM!!! Music needs them, British music needs a good stir and Mansun are the band to do it!!!! Come back and shake it up :)

Today (7th September 2008) is the 10th anniversary of Mansun's album, Six. You might argue that this album was the end of Britpop, and that Mansun were leading the way into the postrock we were to later see from Radiohead and others. They didn't know they were doing that though, they were just out of conventional ideas, and soon self-destructed. In any case, they were my first step into a wider musical spectrum, and I'd like to thank them very much. If you have a copy of Six, put it on today,... You are right in what you've said John but I think a few of these guys could still have a hell of a lot to offer if they reformed. Lets better 'Six' fellas.... you got it in ya!
