  An Alarming Rise to be mixed and mastered by the end of January

  We are in the final month of the recording process for my rock concept album "An Alarming Rise". It has been a lengthy process, but I promise it was worth the wait. In the next month I plan on releasing two more songs with a remix of "Fog of War" on myspace, last.fm and iLike. If you wish to access music pages for these sites please click the links below. I still have not decided which of these songs will be released, but they will be out a month before the album.

  Another Milestone for my Album

  Last night I had a 6 hour session to finish up the lead vocal parts to my album "An Alarming Rise". Now that this is done, the mixing will start around the New Year. I'm very please with how the songs have turned out. Hopefully there will be no need to revisit this part of the recording process, but it is hard to say for sure. I'm exhausted today and my voice is very tired, but I feel this album should be enjoyable for everyone... so it makes it all worth while.

  As most of you know I am going the independent route with my music. That being said there are positives and negatives. The positive part is that I have complete creative control of everything I record. The negative is lack of distribution to the retail outlets. The only way that you will be able to get a hold of my music is through digital outlets such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster and many more. I plan on having my music distributed to every single one.

  If you plan on purchasing the physical CD you can do this at my store that will be located on my website (http://www.mattcode.com. A few people have asked me about preordering and I will be doing that. The store area of the website is in development and I will let you know when preordering will take place. The store will be highly secure so you will be confident in ordering and merchandise for my store.

  Update - Album Release for Matt Code

  There has been no date set for the official release.  The songs are nearing the end of the mixing process.  The concept album is very strong, not one of the tracks seem to stand out as a weak link.  If fact each of the tracks are very exiting from the lyrics to the music.  Uri Djemal is working hard to have the album completely mixed down by the end of August.  The mastering will still need to be done and the pressing for the physical disc.

  March News: Inching Closer to the Finish

  This is the first news release since Fog of War has been made public.  I am pleased with the single version of the song, but I look forward to releasing the album version soon.  The album has been met with many delays.  My health was very poor from the end of December to the middle of February.  However, once I felt better I have been knocking out the vocals on the remaining songs at a rapid pace.  There will not be an exact date of the release, but I promise that the release is getting closer. 

  In the mean time a new version of the website has been opened up to the public.  This site is highly interactive.  Each of the members can create a profile page and communicate with one another by messaging.  The site also has a bulletin board, gallery and a chat that will be accessible only by having a free member profile.  Once the ball gets rolling on this album there will be member benefits, such as giveaways.

  Fog of War has been released!!!
