  Mazzy Star made their last public appearance more than five years ago and have been on indefinite hiatus ever since. Hope Sandoval has since released an EP and a full-length with her band Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions. She has also made several guest appearances on albums by other artists. David Roback has spent most of the last five years in Norway, where he may or may not be working on materiel for a new Mazzy Star release.
