    DUDES, I WENTTO HEAR SLIM IN NYC IN 83/84 AND HE WAS SO NICE..WE GOT DRUNK TOGETHER AS I WAS HAPPY TO HAVE EXTRA DRINKS MONEY.HE SAT THE WHOLE NIGHT WITH ME IN BEATWEAAN SET AND AFTER.AFTER BYING HIM 5 DOUBLE JOHN BLACKS HE CAME OVER TO THANK ME.THERE HEWAS.MY HERO.I HAD TO THINK OF SOMETHING TO SAY TO GET HIM TO SIT AND TALK.I TOLD HIM I PLAYED GUITAR AND TO C IF I COULD AMUSE HIM I SAID 'I'M JUSt another gawky white motherfucker trying toplay the blues.he laughed long an hard and sat down!

    One of my all time favorites is Mempis' version of Curtis Jones' "Lonesome Bedroom Blues" aka "Lonesome in my Bedroom". Too bad I can't find it on Facebook's list in order to post it on my profile.
