Sep 09, 09:57 AMThe Game Magnetic (Death For Guitar Hero)THE GAME MAGNETIC (DEATH FOR GUITAR HERO)
"Death Magnetic," the entire album, available for Guitar Hero too!
Update: Exclusive content and how to get the gameWe told you it was coming and the time is here . . . the simultaneous release of the album and as what our friends at Activision call "downloadable content" for your Guitar Hero game. Anytime after 2:00 AM PDT on Friday, September 12, you can get "Death Magnetic" for GHIII at the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for a cost of 1,440 Microsoft Points and in the Playstation store for PS3 at a cost of $17.99.
Each download contains two different versions of "Suicide & Redemption." One version is James only solo, and the other is Kirk only solo. The download will be forward compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour when it comes out in October.
There's the where, when, and how stuff!
It's a first in both music and gaming . . . the same day that "Death Magnetic" hits the streets, you'll be able to download every song from the album for "Guitar Hero III!" We are so psyched that we'll be the first out of the gate with this simultaneous release . . . who knows, maybe a few years from now this will be the norm when your favorite band's new record comes out.
And for those of you who are anxiously awaiting the next Guitar Hero, "World Tour," we're ready for that too . . . you will be able to experience "Death Magnetic" for drums, vocals, and guitar when that game emerges this Fall.
Keep watching here for the where, when, and how stuff . . . -
