Been writing songs since I started playing guitar (after hearing Nirvana for the first time, I decided, of course, that playing guitar is what I must do) because I was never good at learning other artists' songs. The colorful tapestry of influences I hang over my bed include Nick Drakey songwriters, Aphex Twin electronics, and Smashing Pumpkins soul crushings - intro/extrovert, small sounds/big sounds, elated/destroyed dichotomies. Melody is uber important. So what now? I'm currently recording an album entitled "A Simple Story Simply Told" in a dark and mysterious basement somewhere in Northern New Jersey, and will release it on my own. It will rule the universe, yes.
