I'm a piano player from Ashtabula, OH (where outside-of-Cleveland meets outside-of-Erie, PA). I played in various bands from 1996 - 2007, based in Cleveland, Chicago and Portland, OR. In 2008 I recorded my first solo album - Open Mic Nights, Empty Bottle Mornings - and "released" it on my own micro-label, 8eat8 Records. We now have 4 releases, with more coming soon... In summer 2009 I started MUTTS with Bob Buckstaff. The band was conceived over some beers after a gig, as we were both hired to play on tour with Company of Thieves. The idea was that this band would record everything live, raw, and real - making honest and spontaneous records. We asked our friend Jon Alvin to engineer and mix, and Chris Faller came with to play drums. Due to lack of a band name, our first EP - Pretty Pictures - was released under my name. But in retrospect, we have always been Mutts. Our great friend Cory Healey has played drums with us as well, an original Mutt going back to a drunken Ft. Wayne set at the Brass Rail in late 2008, and manning the kit on We Float EP. Our 3rd EP - the Tells of Parallels - is available October 1, 2010, and the first single - GONE - is on Mutts' websites NOW!
