Silverstation Records are excited to announce the momentous release of self-proclaimed "dirty-minded angular-electro-pop-rock" band Molloy's Thursday Electric EP.
The analogue-electro sounds, edgy guitars and captivating melodies of their previous releases are all in evidence, but this time soaring production values embrace more unconventional instrumentation, including circuit-bent electronic toys, home made percussion and outré sounds from their Commodore 64.
Yet the 4 song EP still manages to keep with the Molloy DIY ethic - all of the songs were recorded and mixed at Molloy HQ with Caz & Jez, taking on their producing mantles of Hellbent & Leather, who also created the Thursday Electric video promo using a home-made blue screen and retro-futurist graphics, again from their Commodore 64.
The Thursday Electric EP is released on 12th January 2009 on CD and download but you can pick up a copy 2 days prior to that at the launch party at the Wilmington Arms, London.
