The Ladies of Most Wanted is a four member rock and blues ensemble. Their intoxicating mix of serious guitar rock, grooving blues, and stand out vocal talent has been filling up a variety of venues in the Louisville area for several years. Guitarist Debbie DeVore formed the group in the late 1990's, turning her dream of a group of serious, talented female musicians into reality. Debbie DeVore is a true blues devotee, and the influences of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana can be heard in her expressive style. She also contributes with backup and some lead vocals. Drummer Rosie Taylor has had a long and colorful career both in California and Kentucky. Her musical background includes everything from country to r&b, and her rock solid timing is what holds Most Wanted together. Deretha Manship cut her teeth playing hard rock and new wave in the 80's and 90's with the all female road band Dollhouse. Her aggressive, inventive style adds a contemporay aspect to the ladies' music. Lead vocalist Cheryl Henry studied vocal music at Louisville's Performing Arts School. Her expansive vocal range can cover Anne Wilson, Stevie Nicks, and Paul Rogers. Together with Debbie DeVore, Cheryl Henry has begun a promising career as a song writer. Their original music lyrically covers territory ranging from matters of the heart, to getting pulled over by the police. Their musical style draws on blues, classic rock and country. The ladies have a devoted following that grows with every new venue. Cuts off their debut cd "Just My Skin" are getting air time on the local public radio station.
