SwingCore!
Inspired by the styles of the 1920's & 30's dance music in America
With the sound and structure of modern European electronics and techno.
The style
Sounds like a young Liam Howlett producing Benny Goodman with Outkast
Poppin pills in the studio. Psychotically fast & noisy drum machines.
Fat'n'heavy distorted bass arranged in swingin' loveliness,
Sizzling jazzy melodies with a Nintendo attitude,
With the vocal misbehaviors of Dj Neckbreaka.
Rapping, scatting, singing, and screaming "move yo' body" chants.
It’s a teeth cracking smile type of music.
The show
Is made of original compositions by Neckbreaka along side remixing
Of classics and unfamiliar live recordings, all completely fucked with,
On a complicated Ableton live setup that allows on the spot jamming.
Fused with the blues, rag, rock'n'roll, boogie woogie and country
The live set has very wide spectrum of tempos that may change radically
During the performance.
The vision
I aim for is to bring some light to the alienation of club culture.
And make tracks that would go natural on the body and you could even
Ask someone to dance with u, with out it being awkward.
The second purpose is to make fast music accessible to wide audiences
That don’t understand how to move to hardcore music.
I know that Balkan, swing and ska acts are easily succeeding
To get attention now days because they contain an energy that has been
Much too scares since the rise of modern jezz and pop,
They offer a refreshing groove to dancing feet all across the world,
It seems to me that the electronic music audience is missing out on the fun.
