    Never Shout Never On The AP Tour

    Hey guys!

    We are really, really, really excited to be able to announce we'll be headlining the next Alternative Press tour. We were, of course, shocked and honored that they asked us to be a part of the tour and we couldn't be happier to be a part of it. The tour starts in March and we'll be putting up all the dates extremely soon. It'll be our first full band tour in a long time and our first chance to really play you all the songs from the What Is Love? album. We'll be joined on the tour by some old friends, some new friends and some soon-to-be-friends. Hey Monday, The Cab, Every Avenue and The Summerset will be on the whole journey with us. Keep checking back right here to get all the information about when tickets go on sale. We'll be doing everything we can to make this a fun show for all you guys to come and hang out at.

    "What Is Love?" Video Premiere

    What Is Love? Pre-Order

    Hot Topic EP Now Available Online

    As you know, the Hot Topic EP has been available at your local Hot Topic store for about a week now. For all you iTunes-ers, the EP is now available online. So whether you want the physical CD or the MP3s, you've got both choices now.


    Tour Starts Tomorrow

    NSN is about to hit the road again, starting tomorrow, December 16, at Philly's First Unitarian Church. These East Coast shows are going to be really, really special because the band will be playing with a full string section. It's going to be amazing. ALSO, exclusive pre-sale and VIP packages are still available for select shows. Check out all dates at the end.

    We've got a lot of craziness planned for this tour. Fake flowers, giant picture frames, fake flowers, playbills, and a new spot where you can take really silly photos next to our merch stand.

    What Is Love? album release date and tracklisting!

    The first real-deal Never Shout Never album will be released on January 26th 2010!!! It will be available at stores everywhere in the US and we are really, really, really, really excited about it. The artwork is done and it's off to a factory somewhere in the world being assembled. It will be available on vinyl, compact disc and digitally on Itunes and all those type of websites. We'll be launching a pre-order of the album on December 15th on nevershoutnever.com   I think you'll get the CD and 2 big Holga prints from the album for really cheap, which seems like a legit deal to me.


    We'll have some of the songs we're most excited about up for streaming in January closer to the release date.

    If you buy the CD version they'll also be a code for some bonus stuff you can snag when you get home with it. The CD version will be available at Target, Best Buy, FYE your local Mom and Pop record store yadda yadda. The vinyl will be available online and hopefully a few record stores (The vinyl is really limited and comes on white vinyl with purple paint thrown all over it).

    We'll also have a few other songs out in Feb and March for some top secret stuff we are working on!...maybe a movie soundtrack song, maybe a rad compilation...who knows?! We'll announce those things as soon as people give us the big thumbs up. 

    Next Tuesday we also have a little EP out on @ Hot Topic stores. It has 2 songs from the album + 2 exclusive songs. If you buy it next week at Hot Topic stores you'll also get a free 11 x 17 inch Never Shout Never poster. You can also preorder that now
    on the HOT TOPIC website.

    On Tuesday December 15th we will also have a brand spankin' new video out for What Is Love? We shot it in 42 minutes during the last tour.  We'll be making a brand new video in a few weeks for a new song and hopefully lots more videos as the winter goes on.

    Heading to the east coast in a few days to get ready for the mini December tour. We'll be playing some shows with a string section which should be insane. Buying lots of fake flowers for the show and going to have some really special stuff set up at those dates as well. Please come hang out if you live in PA, NY, MA, NJ, CT!!!  NJ, MA and NYC are almost sold out.  Ticket links are up on our shows page if you can make it out.

    The Woodies will be on MTV tomorrow night. Watch em' if you are bored.

    Want to see Never Shout Never on their Dec/Jan tour? Well get out your markers and paint sets. We want to see your creative side by having you make a Tour Poster for our upcoming tour! We will be giving away a pair of tickets to each show in December and January to winners of the contest! It doesn't have to be fancy, but here's what we're looking for:
     
    1) A Picture of you and your tour poster
    2) Files must be jpeg or gif and must be less than 10MB in size
    3) Create your own design and/or use photos from the gallery some toolz
    4) List the following info on the posters:

    We won a WOODIE!!!

    Thanks so much to everyone who voted. I know a lot of you sat and clicked away for a long time and that means so much. Pretty insane night (in a good way). Kinda of like being on another planet for a few hours. 

    Anyway, thank you again to everyone for all the support in everything...from coming to shows, to helping NSN win this gigantic/awesome hunk of wood.

    And...maybe most important...MTV said NSN was clearly the best dressed of the night!!!!!....heck yea...

    Heading back home now.

    All the shows for December and January are now posted and we added ticket links to them all as well. Should be a good time...we'll bring the Minnie Mouse sweater.

    New tour dates!

    Hey guys,


    Just announced a whole bunch of dates for January! These will be acoustic shows, probably the last acoustic shows we will do for a long while, so please come out and hang. The venues are all really small and intimate. Carter Hulsey and The Denison will be supporting me on this run. Tickets on sale TOMORROW for these dates.

    All the shows for the rest of the year are up.

    NEW SHOWS - PREORDER THE NEW EP - lots and lots of news!

    So it's been a long while since we've had some news to report, but we are happy to say we have a ton of stuff to report today! 


    First off,
    We've announced a bunch more tour dates for December. These will be acoustic shows and most of them will include being backed up by a 4 piece string section which should be pretty insane. Tickets for that are on sale now for some shows and the rest will be available this Friday. These are small venues, so grab tickets fast.

    Also, the album is done. Mixed, mastered and ready to go. We can't announce any of the details yet, but it'll be out sometime soon. If you came to the last tour you probably saw a few of the new songs live. We are really, really, really, really, excited to share the whole record with you guys!

    Sorta kinda related to that, we have an EP coming out December 8th which will feature 2 songs from the upcoming record, as well as 2 exclusive bsides and some other fun stuff. You can PREORDER THE NEW EP

    We will also have a brand spankin' new music video for the song What Is Love? coming out on December 1st for you to check out. In other video fun; we are starting to work on a pretty over-the-top video for our first single from the record. We've been playing it live so maybe you can guess which song it's going to be? Your clue is "cute"

    What else...what else...EATMEWHILEIMHOT! will have a new single out on Itunes on December 8th too! We are finishing up a record right now in good ol' MO.

    We started a tiny website for LOVEWAY RECORDS  There is a little twitter you can join there too to follow everything going on. We'll be posting album art, studio pictures and stuff like that there before anywhere else.

    hhhmmmmmmmmm. I think that's about it!  Oh, the MTVU Woodies voting ends this Friday. If you can spare a few minutes, it would be amazing if you could vote for NSN a few times. I would be pretty awesome/funny/silly to win the award and be on MTV when the show airs. There is a little thing on the myspace page where you can vote if you'd like. No pressure.

    tracklisting & info!

    Hello allies.

    This is the tracklisting and info for the mini album that will be released in late january. 
    :)

    album info:

    -all sounds are real instruments. (no midi or synths)
    -it was recorded on almost all pre-70's equipment
    -all the strings were recorded by the london symphony orchestra in abbey road
    -no auto-tune or vocal tuning programs were used (you can kinda tell :p)
    -it was sort of a big blur, ha.



    Love is our Weapon - This song is about this generation using love as a weapon to change the world!  Funky bass lines :D

    instrumentation - 12-string acoustic, Bass, Drums, Wind-up piano (harpsichord), Rhodes piano, Shaker.


    Jane Doe - Already put this one up.  It's just a relaxing love song about falling in love before introduction!

    instrumentation -  Acoustic guitar, Ukulele, Bass, Accordion, Electric guitar.


    Can't Stand It - This is a cutesy little love song I wrote.  It is very Beatles inspired!  First song I ever drop the "F bomb" in ;p

    instrumentation - Acoustic guitar, Xylophone, Shaker, Bass, Drums, 12-string electric guitar, Upright piano, Jingle bells, Tambourine, Snaps, Claps, Organ.


    Sacrilegious - this is a song about my view on organized religion.  we recorded this song live.

    instrumentation - Acoustic guitar, Vocals


    I Love You 5 - This song is very 50's inspired.  I had Buddy Holly and The Beach Boys in mind when I wrote it.  It is a cheesy love song all based around the number 5! 

    instrumentation - Acoustic guitar, Bass, 12-string acoustic guitar, Drums, Cowboy boots, Strings, Claps, Banjoline, Space echo, Shakers.


    California - This song kind of sums up the record for me.  It is the story of the album!

    instrumentation - Acoustic guitar, Bass, Drums, Shakers, Xylophone, Piano, Strings, Rhodes piano, Classical guitar.


    What is Love - This is a song about my parents getting a divorce.  The music kind of has a Johnny Cash sorta feel.

    instrumentation - Acoustic guitars, shakers, stomps, claps, Bass drum, tambourine, Floor tom.


    The Past - This is a song about growing up and getting out of a town that wasn't very nice to me.  It is a ballad, but it gets kinda trippy the last 2 minutes.

    instrumentation - Acoustic guitar, Strings, 12-string electric guitar, Rhodes piano, Drums, Bass.


    I have more songs to record for the second half.
