At the age of sixteen,I picked up a bass guitar and joined a band. My second band placed third at the Welsh regional final of the, then, biggest UK school band competition,my third played gigs in Wales & Oxford and performed before Princess Micheal of Kent in an event, for the Save The Children charity at the Royal Albert Hall in London, July 1987. Many gigs at folk clubs and festivals within South Wales followed as a solo performer. Critically acclaimed locally and a festival regular with his current playing partner, the multi talented John Davies (a partnership available to listen to on this site).
