Nicole Atkins and The Sea on Later with Jools Holland!

Nicole Atkins and The Sea will perform on Later with Jools Holland, live on Tuesday, September 16th at 10:00pm BST and again on Friday, September 19th at 11:35pm BST! These shows will be aired on BBC Two. Other performers will be Carla Bruni, Kings of Leon, Metallica, VV Brown, and Sway.

Cover EP out now!

Hiya Folks!

Just wanted to let y'all know that my brand new EP, Nicole Atkins Digs Other People's Songs, is available digitally now! All the songs are covers and really run the gamut - from the Doors' "Crystal Ship" (which some of you may have seen me & the Sea perform live before) to my favorite song in high school "Under The Milky Way" by The Church, with a little Nada Surf and Mama Cass thrown in for good measure. New Songs and More Dates!!

Heyo Folks!

Its been a long time since I've written I know and there is so much to tell you guys! Where do I begin? At the beginning I guess....so, my band, the Sea and I will be playing two shows out on the west coast this week. The first as part of the Outside Lands Festival in Golden Gate Park in San Fransisco. This show will be on sunday the 24th. Then on saturday, the 25th we'll be down in LA playing at the new Largo at the Coronet Theatre. This new space is completely magical and cool so you can expect an extra special set from us that night. We're also doing that Largo show with our good friend, the hilarious Jim Turner with his acts, Two Headed Dog and Randee of the Redwoods! Music and comedy, not to be missed. Alright, next up... on September 15th we're flying out to London to play one of my favorite shows, Later with Jools Holland!!! I've been watching that show forever and i couldnt be more excited. Not sure yet who else is playing the show but I guess thats part of the fun. I'll put some more info about that up on my blog for you guys as soon as I find out more. By the way, I started a new blog! You can check it out here: www.nicoleatkinsblog.tumblr.com. My myspace blog was getting a little disorganized so even though I'll still post some things on that, the new site is where you should go for all things blog.

Next, the Sea and I recorded a little cover songs EP titled, Nicole Atkins Digs Other People's Songs. I should have the release date very soon. We recorded it last month in Brooklyn and it has songs from Mama Cass, the Doors, the Church & Nada Surf. Stay tuned for details!

Finally, I am starting to put together record #2! I've got about 35 ideas and a few finished songs I'll be demoing with the Sea all fall. It feels like its been so long since I've done this and I'm willing and ready. Another album means a longer live set and I'm stoked to see how far I can take my sound. I'm looking forward to taking it into a bit of a heavier territory. Riffs son! During this we will also be playing some of the last dates of our Neptune City tour out on the east coast. We will be hitting Charlotte NC, DC, Philly, Boston, the Bowery Ballroom in NYC and a special night before Thanksgiving show in our hometown at the Stone Pony. Dates are listed below!
