In 2006 European Entertainment Magazine "20 Minutes" called her the "poster-child of the digital music revolution". Mark Yoshimoto of Sirrius Satellite Radio referred to Noush as "Possibly the best singer you haven't heard yet". In 2007 she was awarded two of the biggest independent music awards with her debut EP “Palomino”; “Alternative Pop Artist of the Year” at The Los Angeles Music Awards and “National Independent EP of the Year” at The Hollywood Fame Awards .
With the self-released “Palomino” a new era broke for Noush. All 3 single releases landed major airplay on both satellite radio stations across the USA and Canada. The singles “Gone” and “Skid” became regulars on leading music and lifestyle podcasts in 2006. “Gone” entered the international PodPlay Top 10 charts right after its release in October of 2006, and stayed there for the rest of the month. In national AAA Radio “Gone” still maintains a strong position in the top 100 charts (#55 in December). The "Palomino" record was licensed for numerous MTV shows including 'Real World' and 'The Hills', as well as the program 'Bad Girls' featured on the Oxygen Network.
The 2007 “Palomino” National US tour brought Noush Skaugen to stages like The Viper Room, SXSW, Texas Rockfest, XFest, Midpoint Music Festival, The Whisky a GoGo and Hollywood’s Music Box Theater.
Growing up in London Noush was classically trained on the flute, saxophone and piano. She had her musical home with the famous London Barbican Orchestra for years before her journey to America. Her band skills were fostered by playing in a plethora of Jazz and Funk bands in the usual London haunts at the time.
Noush will be releasing her highly anticipated Debut LP 'Lost and Found' April 2008.

Trivia: Studied Law at Warwick University because her parents insisted on her getting a degree.
