Nudge comes from the city of Vancouver (find it in the Canada section, over in the British Columbia aisle). Nudge has worked very hard (four years) to make their full-length debut the right debut for you (and their own fragile pride). Nudge has enjoyed the association of some fine players in their ranks, but some could only stay for the first part of the show. Still at the party: Mike Rekka, Mike Honeyman, and Uriah Schneider. Nudge named their album "geek" because it is autobiographical. All songs were written by the band members. Nudge recorded their album at Rocketfish Productions. The album was produced by Mike Callewaert (Simon Collins, Dogtooth Violet, Fueled by Ignorance), Scott Young and Paul Forster. Only Skye Noise Studios in Vancouver would let them in for a little while for additional tracking if they promised to perform strange acts of hardcore polka. Nudge knows that people need comparisons for the purpose of genre comprehension so lets suggest they sound a little like the Dave Matthews Band with a squirt of Foo Fighters and a dash of (early) Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young plus some traces of 1970s vinyl you find at garage sales and pawn shops 5-for-a-dollar. You can contact Nudge by either email at mikerekka@telus.net Or send out the “Vibe**” and they’ll call you. **Vibe service should only be used in case of emergency.
