Oak consists of two members, and has excisted for about 5 years. It started out as a bass/piano/vocals project, and we mostly did covers. After that we moved to different cities to study, but after two years we started to show eachother some ideas that we wanted to develope, and we started recording it. We wanted it to be something different from what we had played and heard before. Massive, progressive and epic is the key words. The idea is to make music that can be listened to by most people, without giving up on the musical integrity. Our recent plans for the future is to record more music, perhaps adding additional instruments, and work hard to get a record contract. Øystein Sootholtet studies to become an engineer, and also play bass in a hard rock band in Oslo. Simen Valldal Johannessen studies classical piano in Kristiansand.
