Ocelli is a revolving ensemble that makes delicately woven ambient acoustic music. The etherial-slow-motion sound is vaguely Hinterlandik with its roots under Portland. The warm tone of instrumentation and vocals evoke romanticism and stillness.
Moody, etherial, haunting, mesmerizing
The new album, ‘Ocelli’ (Under the Underground), is comprised of vocals, guitar, violin, cello, piano, horns, bass, keyboards, harp, acoustic and electro beats. The record and live performances feature arrangements by artists from the Oregon Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theater Orchestra, Portland Opera, Chamber Music Society, March Forth Marching Band, Stalking Jane, Serpentine, 3 Leg Torso, Vagabond Opera and others. Ocelli performs as a revolving ensemble or solo.
