Rising among the biggest names in the music industry, ONE, a heart pounding, and soul shaking Canadian rock band was born in 2001. ONE consists of Danny Rossi, vocals, Chris Staniforth, guitar, Ben Cousineau, bass, and Ang Tomaro, drums. Over the past five years, ONE worked relentlessly at perfecting their own brand of music to ensure that their dreams become reality.
By the summer of 2006, after several years together and having played all the major venues Montreal has to offer, ONE locked themselves into a studio for the better part of 7 months to finally begin recording their long anticipated debut album Never Say Never. Feeling very good about the material, they had gone into the studio where the band invested all the time necessary to make a solid album, sound and performance.
Never Say Never will take all listeners on an emotional rollercoaster of love, heartache, and anger from its title track to such songs as You Fall, Here We Are, Not Over You, What Would I Do, etc... Blend solid drumming, thunderous bass, crunching guitars with melodic vocals, Never Say Never is an instant ear opener. After having gone through years of disappointment and false promises the songs have a storyline that everyone can relate to.
Without yet deciding to commercially release the album, the band took off on a 6-week tour that spanned across several U.S. States including, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, as well as a performance for the United States Navy in Atlantic Beach Florida. Upon returning, the band had realized that the shows and music had struck the hearts of all the fans they had played in front of, and decided that it was time to make the album available to the masses. They always had offers on the table, but nothing that they felt suited for what they were looking for. After careful consideration ONE inked a deal with Attack/Universal, out of Toronto Canada.
"This band does what they do because they love it. That's why they dedicate all of their time into it. It's hard to distract these guys. They eat, sleep and breathe the band", says Michael Sucar the bands manager. "The harder the challenge, the more they excel! It's actually quite remarkable what they have already been through".
The bands drive, perseverance and determination to make a name for themselves has carried them over the course of their existence. Thinking BIG at all times and refusing to compromise their beliefs for trends, opinions or criticism from the public or media, is what's going to ensure their place in History. Family, Brotherhood, relationships are words you will hear often in their inner circle, ONE has figured out something that took some other bands 20 years to figure out. It is by sticking together that they will succeed.
In the words of lead singer Danny Rossi, "without each other we are nothing, but together we are ONE.
Whether it was destiny or just blind luck that brought these four guys together, they're in it for the long haul together, and they will bust down anything that stand in between them and the goal they set out to achieve some 7 years ago.
