My name is Pierre Opperman, a.k.a (oppie), and I am an artist who plays “Acoustic guitar/vocalist, and was formerly a drummer. I have been playing guitar for approximately twenty-six years. In Oct 2001, I recorded a 2x song demo-cd called “Karma” at Manley Studios, Pretoria. “Who’s to know” and “In & Out” were produced by Sean Manley of “Manley Studios”, who also engineered/mixed the songs and did lead-guitar-fills on both tracks. In April 2008, I recorded an EP, consisting of 5x songs at Peace of Eden Recording Studios, Knysna (www.peaceofeden.co.za) • Money –less • If you Believe • Changes • Motion • Runaway Have just completed a new song “Desert Light” which will be included on the album. Will add more songs, on this album in the near future. Influences: My earlier and current influences include Bread, the Bee Gees, Elton John Coldplay, David Gray, Cat Stevens, and I have not deliberately tried to sound like any of the afore-mentioned bands / artists. My songs are currently uploaded onto various Independent-Music sites like: www.garageband.com/artist/oppie www.isound.com/pierre_opperman www.songvault.fm www.live365.com/oppie www.noisehead.com www.mp3songs.org.uk/jamroom/oppie www.facebook.com www.showcasetourmusic.com/oppie
"Desert Light", crated quite a buzz of excitement for me last week.'I believe it is a "radio-friendly" song and trust that it will get the credit it deserves.
Thankyou for listening.
