Origin was dreamed up after a commission to write some installation music for a photographic exhibition in Italy last year. The exhibition depicted people from different cultures across the world speaking endangered languages. The music was inspired by these languages, and formed a story line linking the various people together. Elements of these pieces were remixed into an album's worth of more rhythmical type music, and combined with a backdrop of images, formed the materiel for a live multi media performance. The music and the visual mixing are still in progress and are due to be completed over the summer. Watch this space....
