Most of the members of Oscar Trim had worked together at MicroArts, a small marketing/technology/creative firm in NH. And the band formed as an after-work activity and a good excuse to drink beer. It then grew into something else entirely: a good excuse for other people to drink beer too ... all while having their ears blown out, bowels shook, hair plugs popped, and worry-lines sonically removed. In short, we were a Botox party without all that botulism. However, we brought enough other "isms" with us. Lyricism. Escapism. Witticism. A little despotism. Tons of narcissism. And slow metabolisms. Our first CD, "Remote Control Car Joy," was cut in November 2001 and our second, "HELLCAT 2000," in June 2002. But Oscar has since left the building--and indeed this ethereal plane--in a tragic badmitton accident.
