Since their inception in August of 2005, Outlaw's main goal has been clear – to make punk rock by their own standards and bring it to as many people as possible. Before forming Outlaw, all four members of the band were already heavily involved in the Kansas City punk rock scene. And while it remains somewhat of a mystery as to how exactly the four miscreants met, somewhere down the line they realized that all-ages punk rock in the good 'ol "City of Fountains" desperately needed a jump start. Thus, the band was formed. Influenced by seminal punk rock bands such as The Ramones, Anti-Nowhere League, Circle Jerks, F-Minus, Rancid, GBH, U.S. Bombs, The Clash, The Germs, Black Flag and even Australia's very own AC/DC, Outlaw's sound can best be described as an eclectic mix of heavier punk rock with a dash of rock and roll and old school hardcore. In other words, for the music aficionados in life who yearn to label, Outlaw can be classified as straight up Street Punk Rock 'n Roll. Eager to share their punk rock ethos and values with the masses, in early 2006 Andy Woods (bass/vox); T.J. Lundgren (guitar/vox); Brad Schauffler (guitar/vox) and Brandon Micheal (drums) hit the recording studio. On July 5, 2006 – less than one year after Outlaw formed – the band released the six-song EP, "Comfortable with Chaos." In order to promote the album, Outlaw left the confines of the Midwest and hit the road for a West Coast tour in mid-July. The band expanded their fan base by landing a spot on the 2006 Warped Tour D.I.Y. stage and has since done two additional tours of the Midwest and East Coast. Without taking themselves too seriously, it's clear that Outlaw is dedicated to spreading their message of unity and working-class ethics to kids around the country. Born of humble Midwest beginnings, hard work and dedication are two defining characteristics the band doesn't lack. Along with cheap beer, piss and vinegar, these two characteristics will constantly flow through their veins.
