Paul Cardall began piano lessons at the age of eight but quit after six months because he was frustrated with the practice routine. During high school Cardall lost a close friend and in search of solace he sat at the family piano and discovered his ability to play by ear and transcribe the feelings of his heart through music. Cardall would play the piano 2-3 hours a day. Cardall studied periodically with pianist Craig Kaelin and credits him with teaching Cardall how to work in a recording atmosphere.

In 1995 he recorded his first album, entitled SIGN OF AFFECTION.

A copy of this home-pressed album made its way to #1 New York Times best-selling author Richard Paul Evans, writer of "The Christmas Box". He invited Cardall to create a musical adaptation of the book. The resulting album sold more than 50,000 copies its first year.

Since then Cardall's career has soared. He partnered with Narada, a division of Virgin records, to re-release THE CHRISTMAS BOX. He also debuted a new album entitled THE LOOKING GLASS. In December 1999 both records were listed on Billboard's Top 25 New Age Charts. The Chicago Sun Times calls Cardall, "Wonderfully moving and inspiring!"

However, Paul claims his most rewarding success came when, "families of victims in the Oklahoma City Bombing requested the music be played during the memorial ceremonies as families placed flowers on the empty chairs representing their lost loved one."

Cardall is the founder of Stone Angel Music, an independent record label. Stone Angel Music has produced and released several albums including HYMNS and HYMNS II, as well as SIGN OF AFFECTION, a re-release of his first album. During the year 2002, Cardall recorded two albums, DAILY DEVOTIONS, and MIRACLES, A Journey of Hope and Healing. MIRACLES has spent more time on New Age Voice's Top 100 radio charts than any other pianist in 2002. The song Driving North debuted at #3 on Amazon.com's Smooth Jazz Top 200 MP3 charts.

Faithful, the 2003 release from Paul Cardall takes new age piano to a whole new level. Wind & Wire magazine gave Faithful the #2 spot of best contemporary instrumental albums of 2003. In September 2005 Paul released a new cd called Primary Worship inspired by the innocence and spiritual development of childhood. The album debuted at #12 on the internationally renowned Billboard Magazine top 25 New Age Chart spending11 weeks on that chart.

During 2007 Cardall was playing a different tune and venturing into a new sound - trading in traditional piano for the electric guitars, keyboards and drums of Christian Rock. His eleventh disc titled Songs of Praise Cardall blends memorable melodies and upbeat rhythms with meaningful lyrics. From the intro title cut to the very end, he delivers a polished musical excursion that is accentuated by the stunning and emotional vocal prowess of guest Christian Rock singer Steele Croswhite. Cardall said, "These songs celebrate my love of God, family and life. Steele sings what I wish I could." (Steele Croswhite has toured with Sheryl Crow, Foo Fighters, Maroone 5, and more).
