The son of accomplished musicians, Maxwel was introduced to the music industry very early in his life and found himself performing by the age of seven. A former drummer, he eventually took up the piano and by the age of 14 he had already joined his parents’ band on the keyboard whilst he also frequently backed up other bands. Being a gifted singer, Maxwel finally decided to go solo and started performing in various places around Spain, the place where he grew up. He has been very successful in gaining a following after performing in a number of countries all around Europe such as Germany, England, Holland, Finland and the Czech Republic. He has also performed in other countries outside Europe, where he received an excellent reception. These last few years has seen his career reach new heights with performances in Puerto Banus and Marbella, two of the most successful places in Europe, performing for the jet-set rich and famous. He has also opened his own venues, filling them every night. Moreover, he has also made a number of television appearances in England and Spain with renowned artists such as Lolita Flores and Ricky Martin. Born in England, Maxwel developed his own musical style listening to British and American Pop and Rock artists such as Lionel Ritchie, Michael Bolton and Elton John. “I have always had a great interest in their music, their careers, the way they do their job, the way they appear on stage. They helped me a lot to develop my own style.” All this indeed reflects in Maxwel’s music. Although a dynamic artist always open to new ideas, he specializes in Popular Rock. “Both Pop and Rock have a lot of variety and possibilities to musically move within these styles, and in general the public responds well to it.” His fusion of piano music with brass and string accompaniment can make his music both explosive and romantic. Apart from being a proven musician, Maxwel is also an accomplished songwriter and, thanks to the guidance of fellow artist and friend Kenny Charles, he has written all of the songs on his new debut album ‘Love and Pride’. The album is the result of years of hard work and has been put together with some of the best choirs and musicians, in the most recognized music recording studios in Europe and United States. Inspired by the challenges he has faced and overcome in life, the album promises to offer a variety; a mix of dynamic songs including emotional ballads and lively pieces. Finally, this coming June, Maxwel will be touring around Europe promoting his upcoming album, the first performance planned for Marbella, Spain. With his hard work ethic and never ending determination, Maxwel, thanks to the support of his close friends Povl Laudtrup and Michel Guérillot of Wingrove Music, is definitely one to watch out for. Like fine wine, he just seems to be getting better with time.
