New York based recording artist Paul Sforza combines groove, melody, and compelling lyrics to forge a unique style. His warm, inviting voice is the common thread woven through his debut album Lifelines, a patchwork of ballads, upbeat pop tunes, and soulful tales from the darker side of relationships. Paul relocated to New York in 2004 after many fruitful years on the Atlanta scene. He first made an impact as part of the pop/rock act BirdLeather. His next band Paul Sforza and Release developed a strong local reputation for its energetic, funky vibe. The band was recommended as a Readers' Choice in Creative Loafing's "Best of Atlanta 2001" issue. A native New Yorker, Paul began playing the piano at age seven. Preferring basketball to Beethoven, he quit piano lessons as a teenager. However, he soon rediscovered his musical talent, teaching himself to play an acoustic guitar that had been gathering dust in his mother's closet since shortly after Woodstock. Soon after, Paul wrote his first song and set his sights on a professional music career. Today, he writes and performs on both piano and guitar. Lifelines promises to satisfy his ardent local fans and capture new audiences with its engaging mix of pop, rock, and soul.
