Peache was originally brought to existence under the title of Project Peache, a solo-acoustic project, in early 2002 by vocalist/guitarist Brandon Ingley. When Item 16, another local band thriving in the Baltimore/Annapolis area music scene parted ways, bassist/vocalist Danny Mays and drummer Drew Novotny approached Brandon about turning Project Peache into a full band, with the addition of guitarist Mattie O'Brien. While Brandon was still involved with his band Ransack, he contemplated the idea and thus, in May of 2002, Peache blossomed from a relatively unknown side project, into a four-piece ensemble with plenty of hype flowing about it. In June of 2002, Brandon left Ransack to concentrate fully on Peache. With the increased hype and commitment came the need to cut a demo. In September, the band called upon Ron Vento, a producer out of the Waldorf area to produce the six song effort. Since it's release late last year, the CD has been gaining rave reviews from fans and promoters in the area. With a CD to show their style, and many area shows under their belt, Peache is ready to move to the next level. They plan to return to the studio in April to record two of their new songs, as well as re-arranged versions of crowd favorites "Lost" and "Time Has Passed". The band has also successfully launched a street team to help spread the word around the Mid-Atlantic region. The team is very active in promoting the band, and the word about Peache's energetic live shows and well-written songs is making it's way around the area. With their lively stage show, catchy and honest songs, and emphasis on fun, Peache is soon hoping to get a chance to show everyone what they are about.
