Plastic Minds was originally my outlet to start creating some fun and interesting electronic-based music. I started using this moniker about 6 years ago, and created some songs that went with some design/animation work I did back in college. It was a progression of sorts from my days of dabbling with Rebirth, mainly with Josh (Scrap.edx) who went on on to more complex work. However we used to 'jam' out creating all sorts of noise, from straight up 4 on the floor to soundscapes. From that I started to sequence out some more trance/acid style music, and eventually graduated to a full copy of Reason in which the music has become what you hear here. Many of my influences as I list them on the side are extremely varied, from dark industrial to blues to folk and even a little rap/hip-hop (as long as I can digest it easily). This keeps me pushing my sound, from the drums to the synths, but I tend to get caught up in the technology too much. I'm hoping to add some programs and outboard gear to aid in this, and incorporate more organic stuff such as beatboxing and harmonicas, and some vocals.
