From the honeymoon capital of the world, Niagara Falls, Canada, Policies and Procedures have been crafting their own brand of catchy, punk-influenced power pop for nearly 3 years. Forged out of long time friendships, P and P have emerged from an often changing and fluctuating music scene that has gained much noterierty as of late amognst the industry. It is in and around the niagara and greater toronto areas where they take pride in remaining consistent, while perpetually developing their songwriting ability. Combining catchy, pop sensible songs with DIY ethics, and a refusal to follow trends has helped P and P gain strong and loyal fans in the cities they have laid tracks in. With nearly 3 years of gigging, 2 self-released EP's, and multiple industry showcases (NXNE, SCENE) under their belt, Policies and Procedures are beginning to turn various heads in the industry, and the crowd alike. With influences ranging from all corners of the musical spectrum, the band has shared the stage with a slew of artists equal in diversity. Notable acts include; Alexisonfire, Death From Above 1979, Jersey, Flashlight Brown, and The Dears, obviously spanning a wide array of genres and styles. The band more recently has recorded a three song demo at emac studios in london ontario with skilled producers Dan Brodbeck (the salads) and Rob Nation. They plan to continue working, and releasing a full-length record and tour sometime in 2005.
