The Privies are a new Rock band out of San Francisco, California. Self described as the bastard child of Elvis, Jim Morrison and Angus Young raised by Slash and Johnny Rotten, it's a mix of Classic Rock, Rockabilly and old school Punk. Their songs thrive on dark lyrics sung over poppy melancholy melodies. The band has performed all over the San Francisco Bay Area at venues such as The Great American Music Hall, 12 Galaxies, Hotel Utah, Blakes on Telegraph and the Rockit Room just to name a few. The Privies made into the Semi-Regional Finals in the 2007-2008 Bodog Battle of the Bands and were ranked #5 in the country by popular vote. The Privies full length debut album, "you have the right!" is being released August 26, 2008. The album will be available through our website and Myspace page as well as for digital download on many of the most popular download sites such as iTunes, Amazon MP3, Rhapsody, and Napster.
