  The best gig I ever saw was at the Astoria when PiL were on the Happy? tour. The whole band were brilliant and it was an incredible night. The second time I saw them was at the Hammersmith Odeon. JL came on stage and said "They finally let us in to this fucking dump" or words to that effect. That gig, whereas good, was just a little too polished and did not have the raw energy or rootsiness of the Astoria. I put it down to the location.   Saw them a couple times including 1980 in Atlanta, GA. What a powerful show! and don't forget the notorious Ritz show in NYC....
