After a rocky childhood in Cleveland, Ohio, Devon Hubbard aka QP is taking a hold of his life and career. The 22 year old rapper has been through plenty of hardships throughout his life. Growing up in foster care, QP found serenity in music and ultimately began making his own. QP had to learn to take care of himself from an early age. His father was in jail and his mother deemed unfit for parenting, QP began writing in order to cope. His tumultuous childhood forced him to adapt to a variety of different settings, from the projects of Cleveland to outlying suburbs, but instead of falling victim to the negative behaviors many youngsters find with this sort of lifestyle, QP has strived to make a better life for himself and his loved ones. “Without a man in the house, I had to step in at four and five years old, and hold things down for my family.” QP recalls. Starting out as a freestyling rapper, QP gained performing experience and his lyrics began evolving as he started putting thought into what he was saying. QP has quickly become one of the Midwest’s most respected lyricists. His witty punch lines and off-the-wall character meshes well with his knack for making catchy hooks, making each song unique with QP’s unmistakable rhymes.
