In only ten months since formation, Quarter Life has earned opening spots on main stages for acts such as ZZ Top, Thornley, and Three Days Grace as well as collaborations with Cuban artist Elmer Ferrer who opened for Kid Rock. Also, Quarter Life has recorded a 4 song EP including a song called �Home�, which was one of the top tracks in this year's National Songwriting Contest, Ottawa Division. This finalist placement is, according to Kath Thompson of 106.9FM The Bear, ��An incredible achievement when you consider there were 463 entries. I think you should know that "Home" came in a very close second. I do not know if you can say one song is better than another at that point.� Quarter Life, one of Ottawa�s freshest new bands, takes its name from that point in life where all is possible given the right dose of life experience, enthusiasm, and hard work. Delivering this heady mix to its audiences is what Quarter Life is all about. Anders (Electric Guitar and Vocals); Peter (Acoustic Guitar and Lead Vocals); Jason (Bass and Backing Vocals); and, Shane (drums), who make up Quarter Life, have all been playing for years in various bands around Ottawa. Coming together has brought the four musicians the creative outlet that each was seeking; Quarter Life is the powerful sum total of its members delivering �crisp lyrics� with notable melodies and tight rhythms.� Quarter Life is playing as much as possible with plans to record a full album followed by a cross Canada tour in the fall of 2005.
