Formed in the spring of 2008, Radio Adelaide is an energetic band hailing from Windsor, Ontario. The boys of Radio Adelaide strive to create their own niche and constantly push the envelope. Incorporating styles of rock, punk, pop, and even some metal, Radio Adelaide possess a unique sound that has something for everyone.
In May of 2008 the guys went into the studio with producer Siegfried Meier (Holly McNarland, Jersey, The Salads, Awake and Dreaming, Seconds To Go) and recorded their first full length “...And On The Brighter Side of Things”. From the opening riff of “The Dropout”, it sets the tone for the album like a slap in the face and prepares the listener for the sonic barrage that awaits. Songs like “Anatomy” and “Sex On The Side Of The Road” will have you singing along to every word. “Too Close For Missiles” and the CD closer “Good Talk, See Ya Out There” embodies technical guitars battling back and forth from start to finish, and drumming that will leave your chest battered and bruised. Fused together with catchy lyrics and powerful vocal melodies; Radio Adelaide's debut LP has something appealing to any age or genre preference.
The band’s influences come through with hints of Taking Back Sunday, Story of The Year and The Used. Over the years they’ve shared the stage with bands including Boys Night Out, Protest the Hero, Bleed the Dream, Bless the Fall, Sydney, Ten Second Epic, Ligeia, Chasing Mercury and countless others.
With the release of “...And On The Brighter Side Of Things” these guys are sure to turn some heads. Keep your eyes, ears and bananas peeled for Radio Adelaide.
