  I saw him at the Mountain Arts Center about 3 years ago on my birthday. What a humble man. Talk to us and took photos. He is truly a legend.His son was so nice too, as were all the Clinch Mountain boys. It was an experience I will never forget. I saw Bill Monroe about 30 years ago, but Dr. Ralph has him beat! I hope to go seeRalph in Feb in Ann Arbor Michigan!God bless him and keep him strong!

  Howdy y'all Yankee bluegrass fans who actually get to see the great Dr. Ralph live in concert. Please, please, please, somebody tell Ralph Stanley that he has fans in Australia too - namely me - and even though he's getting on in years and probably doesn't appreciate the travellin' so much any more, it would make a po' boy very happy if he ever did...

  There ain't nothing like seeing Ralph Stanley live! He is such a legend and its been an honor to have met him a few times. He's always been very nice and was happy to sign autographs and take pictures with me. I can't wait to go back to Virginia this summer to see him at the Hills of Home again!!

  Bala Fleck was also with New South at the time - this had to be 25 or more years ago....I made MY debut on the same Stirling stage when I was 13 - hahahhaah - I sang "Norman" and played "Walk right In" on my Echo twelve string!!
