Billed as the greatest band in the world, possibly ever, Rascal Red and The Possum Posse was founded in 2002 near Clyde, Texas. The band specializes in sardonic bluegrass, but someone once said that their music is unlike any other type of music. One guy said it's not like music at all, but he was kind of an A-hole. While most of the band's sets include original songs about the trials and tribulations of being whitetrash (and lowbrow), they also cover popular hip-hop, classic rock, and girly pop songs (in order to expose their small-minded fans to new things)... In addition, the band's lead singer/intellectual property owner (Rascal Red) has never attended a gig, nor has he written any songs, nor has anybody seen him in years. Yet somehow the band remains captive to his authority and gives him all the loyalty and credit that he demands, but doesn't deserve. It's a real sad story.
I really like the Secret Admirer song . . . I know it's not funny, but it's so sweet and you guys should put it up :)
