  I was privileged to have seen Ray Price at Panther Hall in Ft Worth in 1970, before I went to Vietnam. I was over 30 then and had always liked his music. Also got to meet him at WBAP AM Radio station after his show and enjoyed talking with him. The gentleman who played the marimba (xylophone, whatever) was from Del Rio, TX, my home town and he has since passed away. A great talent and I'm sure a great loss to Ray's entourage.   Ray Price is the best singer of all time . He has performed for over 50 years and is still touring to promote country music in the traditional style.
