Resisters is a band founded in Aarhus, Denmark in 1999 by a group of girlfriends. They all had the same musical background from their school and thought it would be cool to make a band consisting of only girls. They had in common the urge to make music which came from inside - and not from your average "hit-recipe". Wanting to be recognized as a band - and not a girl group - they took song writing and rehearsing very seriously. That resulted in a record deal, with a small Danish record company, in early spring of 2000. Unfortunately they never released an album and was set free from their contract due to financial problems at the company. But the girls saw this as their opportunity to make it on their own - over the two years they were under contract they had developed both as songwriters and as individual musicians. The band is very popular in their home-town and whenever they play gigs they fill up the room. They believe that they have what it takes to make it big.
