Whatever happened to rock and roll? Well, you can still find it -- it's out there in local bars, in the record stores under strange names like "alt.country," "roots rock," "americana," even "rockabilly," and at places like Garageband! Rob Russell and the Sore Losers are part of a "roots-rock revival" that includes brethren like The White Stripes, Jet, the 45's, The Shazam and a multitude of other like-minded bands who know that making rock that's classic doesn't mean you have to stay inside the boundaries of classic rock.
