Robby Hecht is an accomplished singer and songwriter based out of Nashville, Tennessee, whose neo-vintage music evokes the classic lyrics and vocals of James Taylor and Paul Simon.
Robby began writing songs while attending The University of Wisconsin in Madison, crafting his art in the local coffee houses, and quickly developing a reputation as a songwriter and performer of unusual talent. Since graduating with a degree in English and History, Robby has spent time living in Paris, San Francisco, and Nashville, performing in a wide range of venues across the United States, from Wisconsin to Texas, California to West Virginia.
Robby is currently working on his solo debut with producer Lex Price (Mindy Smith, Peter Bradley Adams, Clare Burson) and Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Josh Rouse, Rosanne Cash). The record will feature guest performances by Mindy Smith, Jeff Coffin (of The Flecktones), Peter Bradley Adams, Thad Cockrell, John Deaderick (Patty Griffin, Michael McDonald), Andrea Zonn (James Taylor), and more.
