First experience with performing in Makati Phillipines July/August 1999. On that trip wrote the first complete song 'Celestial Dreams'. Performing consisted of rapping with live bands like X2C, the Wise Guys, Chamelion, and a band at Hard Rock Cafe. Had a great time there going out with a gal that I met at Mars and performed about 20-25 freestyles on stage. Came back from the Phillipines and was kicked out on the street in Edmonton Alberta... Moved in with the person I sold my car to and lived with them for the 1999-2000 winter when I wrote 'The Saturn book'. The Saturn book holds 18 3 page tracks and 11 five page tracks with hooks. Only a few of these have yet been recorded. May 2000 moved from Edmonton to Vancouver after getting jacked three times in a row (different places, same dudes) and moved to near Metrotown. Scratch was a person I knew from Edmonton and I met him on the sreets in Van, brought him into my place as a roommate and things were OK for a while until I got involved in Jibteck... got evicted, had money stolen from me and moved to Pender street near Hastings and Clarke. LOTS of trips at that address. I ran around Vancouver for two summers (2000 and 2001) and had huge amounts of fun smoking stuff and dosing cid and mushrooms. I got completely tecked out and continued to go to clubs near/on Water street in Gastown. Many trips... made some CDs (and sold them)... recorded a bunch on a friends computer and three or so other people helped produce me too and came up with the CD RaTaKaJa which was Japanese writing that essentially spelled out Ninja. Plot and Plan got totally wild and deep and inevitably landed in Debtweiller Pavilion where I recorde a bunch more on a computer my dad got me for Christmas 2001. Landed in the town I am now in 2002 and although still paranoid managing to allow myself to thrive. About 120 tracks made thusfar (though all but less than 5 songs recorded in the past two years are my own instrumentals) Wanting to make some beats to release 'Things Cipher Well' and 'Are Usually Decoded' in about two years from now. Dreams still to be professionally recorded, though also note that I'm still amature/novice and that music hasn't been my main focus. Tae Kwon Do and work take up most of my days and nights, and am glad that I might not have to work Saturdays soon... this will allow me to work more on music, and actually get some life accomplished. GroundWire is the name I've given to what I do with my music. My songs have been used as a grounding stream for my mind when people start picking the neurons and it helps me well too with getting through shops, airports, or walks. Although it'd be cool to make $ with music... I think what I want to do is just continue to let my music be free for whoever and continue to hand out CDs. Selling my music in Vancouver was (I didn't conciously realize that it was at that time) a hussle, though it actually allowed me money for food, cigarettes, coffee, and dope... and a bit of money to make some more CDs. John Healy and Patrick Wong helped me greatly in Vancouver... Pat produced 'Life is a Sunset' which was my first properly produced track (we recorded about 5-7, yet I only have copies of MidWest, Sunset, and Time). John also helped produce me and let me use his computer where I could produce my own stuff too (including burning about 250 CDs on his computer) and let me move in with him and his brother for the couple/few weeks before being at UBC hospital. There've been many many many people that have been part of this whole Robert stuff (some shoutouts on MySpace page) and I don't quite know what the future holds for music and myself. Ziplok made some positive reviews of my stuff that helps me know butter is there, yet not so certain about the cheeze... Orca talked about that at 7 Alexander. So much out there, and I only one guy here on planet Earth, and still, for some reason, still at 'er. I'm curious about what songs people like and also want to extend an offering of free CDs to anyone who wants one or more.
